Need some inspiration when making cards? I will be presenting a new card sketch each week on my YouTube channel in 2026 which means a total of 52 new card templates made just for you!
I will be creating these templates using neutral colors on 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ card fronts and I hope you will made your own templates right along with me. I have also created a pdf that is available for you to download and save to your computer or print out and keep in a binder.
Card Template #1 is a great sketch that you can refer to over and over. In my examples, I use the Painterly Pears DSP but you could also use embossed cardstock or create your own stamped pattern. The possibilities are endless..
My first design uses the DSP beautifully as the focal point and comes together with a quick banner with a stamped sentiment. My next design incorporates stamping on the focal image and my final design is a really stepped up version with layering, coloring, diecutting, and embellishments. This template is beautiful as is or stepped up and I know you will love it. Click below for your free pdf.
