Last Saturday, I had two in-person card card classes and the cards were so fantastic that I wanted to share them with you. At my card classes, we use a variety of stamps/bundles so peeps get to see more products up close and in action. We used Peaceful View stamp, Gallery Blooms and a new bundle coming out in November called Friendly Foliage.
The fun thing about in person classes is I can teach new techniques, complete with tips ad tricks. Customers learned all about ink blending using the blending brushes while making the Peaceful View card.
Class members learned how to layer multiple shapes using DSP and 2-tone cardstock to keep the weight of the card down. They were also able to do some fun coloring with the blends and then die cut their image to create a stunning card using Gallery Blooms. Everyone really enjoys coloring – the blends make it so easy!!
The final card was a fun-fold called a step card. I love using this fold because it packs a lot of WOW! without being difficult even for beginners. The Friendly Foliage was perfect for this layout and we used our returning Vellum (yay for vellum!). The vellum made the card look so delicate and the die cut foliage image was stunning. The Friendly Foliage partnered perfectly with the Peaceful Garden DSP using my favorit duo Cloud Cover and Secret Sea.
