Craft Your Stash #24 – Piggies for all occasions!

I hope you have a chance to check out the replay of my Craft Your Stash! Episode 24 to see how I turned Party Piggy into Gardening Piggy, Leaf-peeping Piggy and Ginger Piggy.

First we had Gardening Piggy which I made using the Storybook Friends DSP. This DSP has loads of punchouts that made this card a breeze. I tore the Crumb Cake cardstock and sponged it with Early Espresso to give it the illusion of vegetable rows. I added my Party Piggy which I stamped in Melon Mambo and colored my own spots using the SU100 blend. Then I tucked in various vegetables and other die cuts and Gardening Piggy came to life!

Then came my Leaf-peeping Piggy who was having so much fun in a pile of leaves. I started with an Old Olive cardbase and added a piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP – I really wanted to see the blue sky! I used the new Gathering Together bundle to stamp and die cut a bunch of leaves in Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Real Red. I attached the piggy which was stamped in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and scattered the leaves around him using glue and dimensionals to add depth. I stamped the Happy Fall using Choose Happy stamp set. Makes me want to go rake up a pile of leaves and jump in!!

Next was Ginger Piggy – I mean the Gingerbread Man cannot have all the fun!! I used Garden Green as my card base and added a layer each of the Traditions of Christmas DSP and Night of Navy cardstock. Next, I stamped the Party Piggy in Flirty Flamingo on a scrap of Basic White and added splotches of Flirty Flamingo ink here and there – a really quick way to add color! I die cut the piggy and added him to a layer of Basic White. Then I dressed my piggy using the accessories from the new Gingerbread Man bundle. I die cut the hat and scarf using Real Red cardstock. The candy and candy cane were die cut using both Real Red and Basic White. I added a greeting using the Greetings for You Mix and Match Ephemera which are a must for your holiday cards!!
