Card Sketch #4 with Greenery Lane

This card came about accidentally and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. I originally planned a totally different card using the Greenery Lane Washi Tape and coordinating dies. I was struggling with die cutting the washi tape – the tape itself is slippery so my post-it note tape would not stick to it to hold the dies in place. To solve the problem, I decided to use the washi tape as designer series paper.

I covered a strip of Basic White with the washi tape and then cut it into squares. I layered the squares onto a piece of Shaded Spruce. When I layered it all onto a Cloud Cover card base, my card came together!

I have a free project sheet with Sketch #4 that you can download to your computer or print out and add to your sketch binder.

Here is the video that shows how this card came together. It was actually inspired by another card that I did for a class.

The card that inspired me was this one that we made at my in-person class on February 7. This card was much more involved but the layout with the 4 squares made my wheels turn!
